POR2CORE – ZCT: Completion of works

Works on the project “Upgrade of the Port of Rijeka infrastructure – Zagreb Pier container terminal” are completed, that is, the construction of an intermodal railway terminal, along with a new container terminal on the Zagreb pier. It is a project worth 31.6 million euros, which was co-financed with 85 percent of the funds from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). Construction of a new intermodal terminal for cargo transport the new Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal included activities of reconstruction of the existing Rijeka cargo station, the reconstruction of the connection with the tracks at the general cargo terminal in the Rijeka port basin and a number of other activities The partners in the project are Port of Rijeka Authority and HŽ Infrastruktura, and the contractor is SŽ – Railway Construction Company Ljubljana.
