MoU with seaports Szczecin and Swinoujście j.s.c.
In Warsaw, on 6 and 7 July 2017, a meeting was held at the event Three Seas Initiative, hosted by Polish President Andrzej Duda and Croat President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović.
On Thursday, July 6, at the opening ceremony of the Summit, the President of the United States of America Donald Trump and the presidents of delegations of the countries covered by the Three Seas Initiative – Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. With the participation of State Secretary Maja Markovčić Kostelac, a member of the delegation of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the topic of the Plenary Session – Transport, Infrastructure and Energy was held that day.
On Friday, July 7, the Global Forum held a panel on “Strengthening the prosperity and security of the countries in the three seas region”, with the participation of President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović and State Secretary Maja Markovčić Kostelac, followed by a ceremony of signing the memorandum of understanding and contracts between Croatian and Polish companies. On behalf of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the State Secretary Maja Markovčić Kostelac signed the memorandum with the Polish Ministry of the Sea and Inland Navigation, and on behalf of the Port Authority Rijeka, the Director Marino Juretić with the Managment of seaports Szczecin and Swinoujście j.s.c.
