Visit of the Ambassador of the Republic Korea in the Republic of Croatia

His Excellency Mr. Hong Sung Wook, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Croatia visited the Port of Rijeka Authority on Thursday, July 14, 2022. H.E. Hong Sung Wook was accompanied by H.E. Mr. Damir Kušen PhD, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Korea and prominent Korean-Croatian business delegation representatives  Mr. Chae Heekwang, director of the Korean Trade and Investment Agency (KOTRA) in Zagreb and Mr. Zoran Horvat, president of the Croatian-Korean Business Club.
The ambassadors and representatives of the Korean-Croatian business delegation were welcomed by the Executive Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority, Mr. Denis Vukorepa with his asssociates.

Upon arrival at the Port of Rijeka Authority and the introductory words, the ambassadors were presented with the strategic role of the Port of Rijeka in the modern, multimodal and safe network of trans-European transport infrastructure, continuous development with constant investments in the modernization of port capacities, which directly affects the growth of the Croatian economy. In addition to the presentation of numerous infrastructure projects that are being implemented in the port area, development plans for encouraging new investments and expanding business opportunities were introduced and elaborated.

After the official program, the ambassadors and representatives of the delegation went on a tour of the two container terminals. They visited the Adriatic Gate container terminal in the Sušak port basin, and the newly built Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in the Rijeka port basin.
