A new procurement procedure is launched for granting a Concession for Development and Economic Use of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in the Port of Rijeka

Pursuant to the decisions of the Governing Council, the Port of Rijeka Authority published a Notice of Intent to Grant a Concession for Development and Economic Use of the Zagreb Deep Sea Container Terminal in the Port of Rijeka on Monday, March 22, 2021 including tender documentation published on Electronic Public Procurement Classifieds of the Republic of Croatia (https://eojn.nn.hr/).

This marks the beginning of a new procedure for granting a concession for the development and economic use of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in the port of Rijeka. The procedure is conducted by public bidding in an open procedure and lasts until April 26, 2021. The concession period shall commence with the effective date of the signed Concession Agreement and continue for a period of 50 years.

The concession is granted for the performance of certain activities in the Port of Rijeka as a port open to public transport of special (international) economic interest for the Republic of Croatia, for the purpose of: construction works Phase 1 + Phase 1A + Phase 2; and the use of facilities constructed and / or equipped to provide port services, including loading, unloading, transhipment, transport and storage of containers, operations with Ro-Ro cargo, and all other related activities.
