A warm welcome for 4000 guests from cruising ships

Early in the Saturday morning, on July 2, 2022, two cruise ships sailed into port of Rijeka at the same time, the cruise ship “Marella Explorer 2” from the shipping company Marella Cruises and “Mein Schiff 5” from the company TUI UK. In addition, 11 small luxury cruise ships, sailing ships and the ship Adriatik were ready for departure in the port.
The result was a warm welcome to a total of 4,131 passengers in the port of Rijeka.
Apart from the Port Authority of Rijeka, the organization of welcome included the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka, the Tourist Board of Kvarner, the City of Rijeka, companies Securitas, Rijeka Plus, Čistoća and others, such as the Maritime Agency Simmor from Rijeka and TUI Musement from Poreč, who were jointly involved in organizing the stay of passengers in Rijeka. Tourist excursions were organized specially for ship guests. A large selection of excursions were  offered for passengers from the ships “Mein Schiff 5” and “Marella Explorer 2”, with a large number of buses available to take guests to tourist destinations.
