AGCT dredging – approved new project
CEF Blending has approved the seventh project of the Port Authority of Rijeka under the name of Rijeka Port Infrastructure Upgrading – AGCT-dredging (POR2CORE-AGCT Dredging).
On 27 September 2018, the CEF Transport Sector Coordination Committee in Brussels officially presented the results of the evaluation for two calls under which Croatia provided funding for four transport projects, namely CEF Blending and CEF Single European Sky – SESAR priority. CEF Blending Call or Call for Combination of Funds was published on 8 February 2017, and it envisages financing project proposals combining grants with EIB financial instruments and loans. A project worth EUR 13.9 million will be implemented by the project coordinator of the Port Authority of Rijeka as project coordinator in partnership with the concessionaire at the Brajdica terminal, Adriatic Gate j.s.c. Funds will be allocated to increase capacity and the ability to accommodate larger vessels. The main goal of the project is to close the bottleneck because of certain limitations of the Adriatic Gate terminal, in order to improve terminal handling efficiency and the ability to berth larger ships.
