Festival of Technical Culture 2019 – presentation of European projects

On Thursday and Friday, October 24 and 25, 2019, the seventh edition of the Festival of Technical Culture was held at the Karolina Riječka Pier.
As part of the traveling festival, organized by the Croatian Association of Technical Culture, the entire activity of the national associations of technical culture was presented, with the aim of promoting technical culture and encouraging children and young people to engage in technical work.
During the event, visitors could visit the festival tent from 10 am to 6 pm, where they could see and participate in practical workshops, demonstrations, presentations, lectures and exhibitions with expert mentors from all over Croatia and representatives of seventeen national associations.
At the opening, the president of the Association of Technical Culture Rijeka Đordano Bucci pointed out that children should use workshops to supplement the knowledge and skills acquired in the education system, emphasizing that technical culture should be more represented in the school curriculum.
The festival presents the disciplines of modeling, electronics, automation, rocket modeling, informatics, robotics, radio communications and orientation, astronomy, car modeling, ship modeling, aircraft modeling, sailing modeling, photography, film and video creation, student cooperatives, innovation, diving and diving. kayaking with a focus on boat building.
The Festival of Technical Culture 2019 was organized by the Croatian Association of Technical Culture in cooperation with the Association of Technical Culture Rijeka, and the event is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia, City of Rijeka, with the support of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
At its own exhibition stand, the Port of Rijeka Authority presented European projects Promares, DigLogs, Intesa co-financed from the Interreg Croatia-Italy program, Locations from the Interreg Mediterranean program, Talknet and GreenerSites from the Interreg Central Europe program.
