Concession Agreement for development and economic use of Zagreb Deep Sea Container Terminal
On Friday, November 5, 2021, the signing ceremony of the Concession Agreement for the development and economic use of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal at the Port of Rijeka will be held in the Governor’s Palace in Rijeka (Riccarda Zanelle Square 1), starting at 11:00. The ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Oleg Butkovic.
On behalf of the concession grantor, the Agreement will be signed by Denis Vukorepa, Executive Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority, and on behalf of the concessionaire Morten Engelstoft, Executive Director of APM Terminals and Pavao Vujnovac, President of the Energia Naturalis Group.
The Concession Agreement is signed for the purpose of development, operation and management of the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal, for a period of 50 years, and the concessionaire undertakes, among other things, to build the necessary infrastructure and fully equip the Zagreb Deep Sea container terminal in Phase 1 and Phase 2. (construction of additional 280 meters of new pier and equipment).
