Port of Rijeka Authority signed a MoU with Busan Port Authority
As part of the official program of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia, Port of Rijeka Authority and Busan Port Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Zagreb, on 12 October 2023. In the presence of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Duck-soo and members of the Governments of the two countries, the Memorandum was signed by Denis Vukorepa, the Executive Director of the Port of Rijeka Authority and Kang Joon-suk, the Executive Director and President of the Busan Port Authority. The goal of the Agreement is to provide conditions for the implementation of joint projects of the two port authorities and facilitate maritime traffic between the two ports and promote the Rijeka traffic route as a leading logistics route in the northern Adriatic for trade between the Republic of Korea and Europe.
In a joint statement, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Han Duck-soo, emphasized the promptness of both governments to provide full support in strengthening economic cooperation in the field of business, port management, energy, technology and industry, based on the principle of equality and mutual respect. benefits, as well as in the promotion of bilateral trade, tourism, investments and innovations that will contribute to the growth and prosperity of both nations
