“Project generation workshop”
Organized by the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat, a Project generation workshop – “Sharing experiences and best practices of EU Core Network Maritime Ports in development and implementation of EU funded projects” was held at the Port of Rijeka Authority. The workshop was attended by Kristijan Ležaić, representative of the Transport Community Permanent Secretariat, Luka Borić, expert advisor with associates at the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, Dragan Šćekić, director of the Port of Bar and Isidora Bulatović expert associate for international projects of the Port of Bar from Montenegro and Rade Stanišić, Head of the International Management Unit with associates from the Port of Durrës in the Republic of Albania.
The aim of the international workshop was to exchange experiences and best practices of seaports located on the European core transport network in the field of road, rail, inland waterway and maritime transport, as well as the development of the transport network between the European Union and the Western Balkans.
The transport community is based on the progressive integration of the transport markets of the Western Balkan countries into the transport market of the European Union, including the areas of technical standards, interoperability, safety, security, traffic management, social policy, public procurement and the environment.
During the workshop, the activities of the Port of Rijeka Authority from the Republic of Croatia, the Port of Bar from Montenegro and the Port of Durres from the Republic of Albania were presented and experiences shared regarding the advantages and challenges in implementing projects co-financed from European projects.
