Project INTESA in Klaipeda (Lithuania)
Through the Horizon 2020 CIVITAS PORTIS project, five European cities (Klaipeda, Aberdeen, Antwerp, Trieste and Costanta) will test innovative and sustainable urban mobility solutions in five European port cities. With CIVITAS PORTIS, the Port of Trieste will improve the management of port entries through new IT equipment and software to optimize truck entry and exit, thereby reducing the environmental impact of traffic. The INTESA project presented contributions to achieving the goals of sustainability and efficiency of maritime transport and improving the overall quality of life of people living in port cities by identifying and solving existing bottlenecks and optimizing maritime transport.
About forty participants were introduced to the INTESA project at the 4th General Assembly of the CIVITAS PORTIS Project, which took place in Klaipedia (Lithuania) on September 5, 2019.
